These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the websites, learning portal, applications, and other online services operated by Cunningham Institute of Higher Education ("CInHEd", "we", "us", or "our"). By creating an account, submitting an application, or using a CInHEd service, you agree to these Terms.
1. About CInHEd services
CInHEd provides information about academic programmes, admissions, professional training, student accounts, learning resources, communications, and related institutional services. Individual programmes and services may have additional rules, fee schedules, academic policies, or enrolment agreements. Those additional terms apply to the relevant service and form part of your agreement with CInHEd.
2. Eligibility and accurate information
You must provide accurate, current, and complete information when registering, applying, paying fees, or using a student account. You must promptly update information that changes. If you use the services on behalf of another person or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to do so.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for activity carried out through your account. Notify us promptly at info@cinhed.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
3. Admissions and academic decisions
Information on the website is not a promise of admission, enrolment, accreditation, employment, examination results, transfer credit, visa approval, or any particular academic or career outcome. Admissions, progression, assessment, graduation, and related decisions are made under the applicable CInHEd policies and requirements.
You must submit truthful documents and information. Fraudulent, altered, misleading, or improperly obtained documents may result in rejection, withdrawal of an offer, suspension, cancellation of enrolment, or referral to the appropriate authority.
4. Fees, payments, and refunds
Fees, payment deadlines, payment methods, and refund rules are those published for the relevant programme or service, or stated in a separate agreement or invoice. You are responsible for providing accurate payment information and paying amounts due by the stated deadline. Payment processing may be provided by third-party payment services subject to their own terms.
5. Acceptable use
You must not use a CInHEd service to:
- break the law, infringe another person's rights, or submit information that you know is false or misleading;
- access another person's account, share credentials improperly, or attempt to bypass security controls;
- upload malware, harmful code, unlawful material, or material that violates another person's privacy or intellectual property;
- interfere with the availability, integrity, or security of our systems or services;
- scrape, copy, reproduce, resell, or commercially exploit the services or their content without written permission; or
- use the services to harass, threaten, defame, discriminate against, or harm another person.
6. Content and intellectual property
CInHEd and its licensors own or control the website, portal, software, branding, text, graphics, course materials, videos, and other content made available through the services. We grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use that content for your own lawful educational or administrative purposes. No ownership rights are transferred to you.
If you submit content, documents, feedback, or other material, you confirm that you have the right to submit it and grant CInHEd the limited rights needed to receive, store, review, and use it to provide the relevant service, comply with the law, and protect our community. Our use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Third-party services and links
The services may link to or integrate with third-party websites, payment providers, communication tools, or other services. CInHEd does not control those services and is not responsible for their content, availability, security, or privacy practices. Review their terms and privacy notices before using them.
8. Suspension and termination
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to an account or service where reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, enforce these Terms or academic policies, comply with law, address non-payment, or maintain the security and operation of our systems. Where appropriate, we will provide notice and an opportunity to resolve the issue. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination will remain in effect.
9. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, the services and content are provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the website or portal will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components, or that all content will always be complete or current. We may update, suspend, or discontinue a feature or service.
10. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by the laws of Ghana, CInHEd will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of data, revenue, profits, or opportunity arising from your use of or inability to use a service. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
11. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms when our services, policies, or legal obligations change. We will post the updated version with a new effective date. If a change materially affects your rights or obligations, we will provide a reasonable notice where appropriate. Your continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated Terms.
12. Governing law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Ghana. Subject to any mandatory rights or dispute process available to you under applicable law, the courts of Ghana will have jurisdiction over disputes relating to these Terms or the services.
